Abstract

Hyperuricemia is when uric acid levels in the blood increase close to normal limits. In cases that do not cause clinical symptoms, lifestyle modification is often the treatment of choice, given the controversy surrounding the use of gout medication in asymptomatic conditions. Therefore, alternative therapies with herbal medicines such as cinnamon leaf (Cinnamomum burmanni) microparticle infusions should be considered to minimize dependence on conventional therapy. This study used an experimental method with nine treatment groups, namely the normal control group (KN), negative control (K-), positive control (K+), and microparticle infusions and herbal infusions at concentrations of 5%, 10%, and 15%. The results of the study indicated that cinnamon leaf herbal microparticle infusions have anti-hyperuricemic activity, with the best effectiveness seen at a concentration of 5%
