KARAKTERISTIK PIGMEN ANTOSIANIN DARI EKSTRAK KOL UNGU (BRASSICA OLERACEA) DAN UBI JALAR UNGU (IPOMEA BATATAS L.POIR) SEBAGAI ZAT WARNA PENYERAP CAHAYA UNTUK SEL SURYA JENIS DYE-SENSITIZED SOLAR CELL (DSSC)

Zat warna atau dye, berfungsi sebagai senyawa yang menyerap cahaya matahari dan menghasilkan elektron yang kemudian diteruskan ke lapisan semikonduktor. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi karaktersitik pigmen antosianin yang diekstrak dari bahan lam, yaitu kol ungu (Brassica Oleracea) dan ubi jalar ungu (Ipomoea batatas L.Poir), sebagai dye-sensitizer pada sel surya jenis Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC). Pigmen antosianin dipilih karena kemampuannya menyerap cahaya dalam spektrum yang luas, sifatnya yang ramah lingkungan, dan ketersediaannya yang melimpah di alam. Ekstraksi pigmen dilakukan menggunakan pelarut etanol, dan karakterisasi dilakukann dengan Fourier-Transform Infared Spectroscopy (FTIR) dan UV-Visible Spectroscopy (UV-Vis). Hasil analisis FTIR menunjukkan adanya gugus fungsi O-H, C-H, C=C, C=O dan C-O pada ekstrak kol ungu dan ubi jalar ungu, yang sesuai dengan struktur pigmen antosianin. Analisis UV-Vis menunjukkan puncak serapan pada panjang gelombang 544,5 nm untuk kol ungu dan 542,5 nm untuk ubi jalar ungu. Selain itu, nilai bandgap energy yang diperoleh menunjukkan potensi penggunaan pigmen ini dalam DSSC, dengan nilai bandgap 1,992 eV untuk kol ungu dan 2,043 eV untuk ubi jalar ungu. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pigmen antosianin dari bahan alam memiliki potensi sebagai dye-sensitizer yang efektif dan ramah lingkungan dalam pengembangan DSSC
