Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The manuscript has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The manuscript is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • The manuscript used the latest official journal template and follow all formatting requirements, including structure, headings, font, spacing, citation style, tables, figures, and references.
  • All required metadata have been entered completely and accurately in the submission system, including each author’s full name (written consistently and without unnecessary abbreviations), institutional affiliation, email address, manuscript title, abstract, and keywords. All metadata exactly match the manuscript file, including the correct and final author order. Spelling, capitalization, and institutional names are accurate and complete.
  • The official Turnitin Similarity Report is submitted along with the manuscript as a supplementary file.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
  • If submitting a revised manuscript after peer review, please also include an updated Turnitin Similarity Report along with the revised submission.
