Abstrak

Penelitian ini menyelidiki pengaruh model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah (PBL) yang dibantu oleh media multirepresentasi terhadap pemahaman konseptual siswa dalam fisika. Mengingat tantangan yang dihadapi siswa dalam memahami konsep fisika abstrak, khususnya kurangnya metode pengajaran yang bervariasi, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan efektivitas dua pendekatan pembelajaran. Metode kuasi-eksperimental dengan Desain Kelompok Kontrol Non-Ekuivalen digunakan, yang melibatkan 64 siswa dari dua kelas 11 di SMA Negeri 1 Tumijajar, Tulang Bawang Barat, selama tahun akademik 2025/2026. Kelas eksperimen menerima instruksi menggunakan model PBL dengan media multirepresentasi, sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan model PBL standar. Data dikumpulkan melalui pre-tes dan post-tes untuk mengukur pemahaman konseptual, dan dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas, homogenitas, uji-t, N-gain, dan ukuran efek. Hasilnya menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan dalam peningkatan pemahaman konseptual antara kedua kelompok. Kelas eksperimen, dengan skor rata-rata pasca-tes 80,94, mengungguli kelas kontrol yang memperoleh skor 73,13. Uji-t mengonfirmasi hal ini, dengan nilai t hitung sebesar 90,843, yang secara signifikan lebih besar daripada nilai t tabel sebesar 2. Besarnya efek sebesar 0,66 menunjukkan tingkat efektivitas sedang. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa mengintegrasikan media multirepresentasi ke dalam model PBL secara signifikan meningkatkan kemampuan siswa untuk memahami konsep fisika yang kompleks dengan memungkinkan mereka untuk berinteraksi dengan materi dalam berbagai cara (verbal, matematis, bergambar, dan grafis). Pendekatan ini memberikan kontribusi yang berharga bagi pendidikan fisika dengan menawarkan metode yang lebih komprehensif dan menarik untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konseptual, mendorong keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi, dan hasil belajar yang lebih baik.
