This article discusses commercial law and the challenges in regulating the increasingly growing digital transactions and e-commerce. One of the main issues is the validity of electronic contracts and digital signatures and the protection of personal data and consumer privacy. Additionally, resolving cross-border transaction disputes and regulations for fintech, cryptocurrency, and blockchain technology poses a significant threat. To address these challenges, reforms in commercial law are needed to accommodate technological innovations, enhance consumer protection in digital transactions, and regulate the responsibilities of digital platforms. Legal reforms are also necessary to harmonize international commercial law and regulate corporate social and environmental responsibilities. In the development of commercial law in the next one or two decades, the focus will shift to regulating e-commerce and digital transactions, closer integration with international commercial law, emphasis on corporate social and environmental responsibilities, and the regulation of platform-based digital economies. However, the main challenge is balancing technological innovation with consumer protection and financial system stability. To address this challenge, a more flexible and adaptive legal framework is needed that can keep up with the rapid development of technology and business models.
