Pena: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra is dedicated to advancing knowledge and research in the fields of linguistics and language: Indonesian linguistics, Malay linguistics, Indonesian regional language studies, Malay language family studies, Indonesian language education, Malay language education, Indonesian literature studies, Malay literature studies, literature education, and research and development in language and literature learning.

Starting in 2026, to improve publication efficiency and content quality, the journal will be published six times a year in February, April, June, August, October, and December. Manuscripts are accepted year-round. Before submitting a manuscript, please ensure that it is written in Indonesian or English and meets our focus, scope, and writing guidelines. Requirements regarding manuscript standards and format can be found in the Author Guidelines and Templates section. Pena: Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra only accepts original, plagiarism-free articles that are not currently in the process of being published elsewhere. Each manuscript will be edited by the editor and carefully reviewed by peer reviewers.
